CAP: A Community-Driven
Non-Profit Security Organisation

Our Mission

CAP is a pioneering non-profit security organisation in South Africa, established in response to the growing need for safer and more vibrant neighbourhoods. As the first non-profit security organisation of its kind in the country, CAP is committed to providing exceptional security services while upholding its community-focused mission.

Recognising the power of community involvement, CAP was founded on the principle that residents can play a pivotal role in enhancing their own security and well-being. Our comprehensive approach, which combines proactive patrolling, intelligence-driven operations, community engagement, and technological innovation, has yielded significant results in reducing crime rates and fostering a sense of safety and security among residents.

The CAP Difference

Our History

Established in 2006, CAP emerged in response to a series of tragic incidents in Glenhazel, Johannesburg. Through collaboration and innovation, we developed a community-based security model that has been successfully implemented in numerous areas across the city.

The CAP Marshalls

Our volunteer Marshalls unit plays a vital role in our operations. These dedicated individuals contribute their time and expertise to patrol neighbourhoods, identify potential threats, and assist in apprehending criminals.
